A Microscope is an essential tool for the koi keeper. Far too many pond owners react to a problem by dosing the pond with the first medication they can find. Often it is the wrond treatment for the problem, and can cause further stress.
Our advice is that before any treatment is added to the pond, find out the cause of the problem.
The first step is to check the water, and if that is ok, then take a scrape from a random sample of fish. If you find a number of parasites, then you will need to treat with an appropriate treatment. |
