Koi Pond Heating
Many people often think heating a koi pond has to be expensive, and that the water will be producing steam in winter!
Pond heating systems are ideal for keeping the pond temperature STABLE. Fluctuating water temperatures are harmful to koi. Keeping a constant low temperature through winter is beneficial, and not as costly as you may think.
Kitsu Koi supply pond heating systems based on electric or gas - both have pros and cons. Gas heating is costly to install, but cheaper to run than electric. Most electric pond heaters can be fitted by the pond owner.
Pond heating systems should work on around 1kw per 1000 gallons for an average pond. Increase the heat unput for exposed ponds, or in the highlands for example.
